Christiane Fischer- Smith, Principal Dentist, GDC No. 83066
Christiane Fischer- Smith

I am originally from Germany where I studied to become a Dentist and met my husband Harry from Scotland. We decided to move to Scotland and in 2008 we embarked on a new adventure and opened the door at Q Court Dental Studio. I could not have imagined that 12 years later we would have two practices under one roof, three fantastic Dental colleagues and an amazing team. Not forgetting our loyal patients, which we have built a wonderful relationship over the years. Due to increasing responsibilities as a practice owner, commitment as a Vocational Trainer for newly qualified dentists and leading the dental team. I find myself enjoying my passion for dentistry mainly at La Belle Court Implant Clinic. www.labellecourt.co.uk

I cannot emphasise enough how well Q Court and La Belle work as a team, where our main priority is providing excellent patient care. In my role as principal dentist and practice owner, I am very proud of my current team members. You will feel the warm welcome they give you as a patient, but also see the great professional support they provide to each other and to you. I can see this especially now while living and working through COVID-19 times. Patient and staff safety is always paramount at the practice. To cope with the daily workload, I try to take time to balance my life with 3 important things -  NUTRITION, I am obsessed with good healthy food. I love to make my own lunches and healthy snacks. ACTIVITY, I feel so refreshed after a good tennis match. Concentrating on the little yellow ball clears my mind.
FRESH SCOTTISH AIR, I go outdoors whenever I get the opportunity with my lovely dog DINO.

Calum McAllister, Dentist BDS, GDC No. 264289
Calum McAllister

I graduated from The University of Glasgow in 2016 and have worked full time in general dental practice since. I enjoy carrying out high quality restorative dentistry with a minimally invasive approach. This includes the use of short-term orthodontic systems such as Invisalign and CFAST alongside other treatment options such as composite bonding or tooth whitening.

My future interest is within the specialty of dental implantology. I have already completed a one year foundational course in implantology under the auspices of the ITI (International Team of Implantology). I look forward to treating patients by this method as it becomes increasingly evident that it is the future of tooth replacement within Dentistry worldwide.

Julia Eleftheriadou-Howson

Having a background as a medical nurse in Greece, for over 10 years, gave me the opportunity in 2016 to work as a dental assistant, in a dental practice in Athens. This experience was the reason why I had a change of heart and decided to move to the UK and pursue a carrier in dentistry, which will be my greatest accomplishment. All my life my orientation has been within the health sector and finally I have found my passion. For more than 2 years, I have been a part of Q Courts team and this has given me the chance to work full time and also train to become a qualified dental nurse, which I really enjoy. When it comes to my personal life, I find nothing more refreshing than travelling to new places and enjoying the company of my dog. One of my dreams has always been to visit Africa and help the people who do not have access to primary health care, which is something I would gladly do even if I didn't get paid for it.

As a dental nurse, I am passionate about seeing a patient getting satisfied after their treatment. I love to see the smile in their faces after every treatment. I have been working as a Dental Nurse for more than 5 years and all through out those years I have gained friends, experiences and qualifications and I am still thriving to learn more and achieve a lot. Dental surgery and cosmetic dental restoration are my passion. It always made me proud when the Dentist delivers and exceed the patient’s expectations.

Adelisa Atienza, Dental Nurse GDC No: 287914
Adelisa Atienza

Having joined Q Court’s team over a year and a half ago, gave me the opportunity to qualify as a Dental Nurse at the Edinburgh college, completing the SVQ level 3 and SCQF level 7 in Dental Nursing. Originally, I am from the Philippines but have been living in Edinburgh for over 13 years. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and I am also passionate about patients receiving the best care possible and helping them feel at ease. In the future I look forward to enhancing my skills by attending post qualifications in Dental Radiology, Implants and Impressions.

In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I am an active member of the local Church. I also take pleasure in sports like volleyball, badminton as well as long walks and travelling. One thing I would love to do in the future, would be to go back to the Philippines and help educate children in Oral Hygiene, as it is difficult for most of them to access dental care due to the remote areas they live in.
